BOOK COVER

This project pushed me to use all that I had learned about two-dimensional design in a graphic design problem. The goal was to recognize how thematic ideas can be communicated through the thoughtful application of the visual elements and compositional principles of design. This project creates a new cover for a book related to my major, Interior Architecture. It required research about existing book jacket designs, the content of the chosen book, creative brainstorming and sketching, and a final graphic design using Adobe Illustrator. I used the textbook Architecture: A Visual History by James Neal. Throughout the book are photographs and information about famous architectural landmarks, so while recreating the book cover I created a world map showing famous landmarks over their destinations.
